Privacy policy

Last updated 17 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data Nearest collects through nearest.uk and how it is used.

Who is responsible

Nearest is responsible for the personal data collected on this website. You can reach us with the contact form on the home page.

What we collect

Messages you send us. If you use the contact form, we receive what you enter (for example your name, email address and message). We use it only to answer you, and keep it no longer than needed for that.

Visit statistics. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, does not track you across websites and gives us only totals (pages viewed, countries, devices).

Visitor insights and chat. We use WhosOn to see which organisations visit the site, from the network address your visit comes from, and to offer the chat button. It keeps a random visitor ID in your browser's local storage so that a chat and repeat visits can be recognised. If you use the chat, we receive what you type.

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies. The chat keeps a visitor ID in local storage, as described above; you can clear it in your browser settings.

Who processes data for us

The website is hosted by Instasite (Netcetera OÜ), which delivers contact form messages to us by email. Cloudflare serves the site and provides the visit statistics. WhosOn provides the visitor insights and chat. They act on our behalf and only as needed to run the website.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it, and you can object to how we use it. Send your request with the contact form. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page.
